Super Cell Cuts Wide Swath Through Panhandle Area Sunday

Super Cell SliderA very long-lived super cell storm that originated in Beaver, Oklahoma, late Sunday afternoon and persisted for the next seven hours—moving slowly to the south southwest—spawned what National Weather Service meteorologists now believe may have been as many as five brief tornados as it moved slowly along a south southwest path into the Texas Panhandle Sunday evening.
