Miami Wind Project Reps Shop For School And County Tax Incentives Here

Wind Project Map 33 2013In a series of meetings over the last three weeks, representatives of Invenergy have explored school and county officials’ willingness to engage in tax abatement and limited assessed value agreements that could prove beneficial to development of the Miami Wind Project. The project—which primarily encompasses Roberts, Hemphill and Gray counties—would result in the construction of as many as 165 wind turbines and 32 miles of transmission line on 65,000 acres of land already under lease with area landowners, ultimately producing 230-280 megawatts of electricity.
