It didn’t take long, but March Madness has kicked in.
The craziness of spring basketball hit full throttle on Tuesday as the No. 15 Wildcats challenged No. 7 Panhandle at the Palace on the Plains in Stinnett. The winner would claim the regional quarterfinal championship, and would be sent forth to Levelland to represent in the regional tournament, and it would take two overtimes to decide a victor.
“It’s one of those things you have to handle mentally,” said Sawyer Cook. “Playing an extra eight minutes . . .”
