Residents are urged to complete an online survey intended to guide the city’s comprehensive planning process before next Tuesday, when an advisory committee will begin developing a plan based on the results. At Monday’s council meeting, Manning said the survey had already had “exceptional participation,” having received 235 responses in English and five in Spanish, in addition to 10 more surveys that had been submitted in print. An effort was underway this week to get responses from citizens 18 and younger, with the help of Canadian High School instructor Ron Schrader. “We will be interested to see our high schoolers’ views on this,” Manning said. Those who have not already completed the survey may do so online at cityofcanadiantexas.com, or by requesting a print copy to fill out at City Hall.
