Between student registration, band practices, staff training, the demolition of the old bus barn to make way for construction of new classrooms, and excavation in preparation for the construction of a new practice gymnasium , Canadian’s High School and Middle School campuses were the hub of activity this week and last. Contributing further to the constructive chaos was the continuation of a makeover  project that began last summer at the Cats Paw across Sixth Street, Pouring new sidewalks at the Cats Pawwhere an impressive team of volunteers was involved last week in pouring new sidewalks, which will eventually lead to both the front door and a commemorative brick-covered patio. Canadian ISD released a map this week directing student drop-off and pick-ups, car and bus waiting zones, and one-way travel in front of Canadian High School. At Tuesday evening’s board meeting, Superintendent Kyle Lynch warned that it might take some getting used to when school starts next week, but that with a great deal of patience on the part of staff, students and parents, all would eventually be fine.
