Design work begins on new Toot ‘n Totum in Canadian

The walls were coming down Wednesday afternoon on what locals have long called “Gopher’s Shop”—a reference to the automotive repair business owned by Gopher Innis on the north edge of town, which was gutted by a fire in January of 1996. After today, however, locals may more accurately refer to it as the future site of Canadian’s new Toot ‘n Totum convenience store and truck stop, which is scheduled for construction here within the next year.
