In the three weeks since CHS senior Thomas Brown vanished, searchers have combed the Canadian River area north of town where his Dodge Durango was abandoned early Thanksgiving Day, scoured the Lake Marvin Wildlife area where Brown and his friends often went, conducted a forensic investigation of his vehicle, interviewed his friends and family, and viewed hours of surveillance video from various vantage points in and around town.
“Texas Ranger Mike Smith came and analyzed the vehicle with us,” Hemphill County Sheriff Nathan Lewis said, “and we have sent the forensic evidence we collected to a crime lab and are awaiting the results of that report. . . .”
