Barbara Ann (Pigg) Bentley, 84, of Canadian stepped into her heavenly home Thursday, December 21, 2023, in Canadian.

Graveside services will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, December 27, at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery, with Charlie Rankin, son-in-law, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Barbara Ann Pigg was born August 27, 1939, in Canadian to David Arnold and Annie Louise Pigg. Following high school, she attended beauty school. Barbara married Ronnie Bentley on August 31, 1957, at the Methodist Church in Canadian. Ronnie preceded Barbara in death on April 8, 2023. For 35 years, they lived in Texas, Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi while Ronnie worked for Halliburton. They retired in Canadian and enjoyed doing woodworking and building furniture together---they were the Woodworking B’s. Barbara also enjoyed cooking, sewing, and volunteering together with Ronnie at the Abraham Home.  She was a sweet spirit that never complained. Barbara felt blessed to be a mom and grandmother.

She was also preceded by her parents, Arnold and Annie Pigg; and two sons-in-law, Steve Ash and Charles McArthur.

Those left to cherish Barbara’s memory are two daughters, Kathleen McArthur and Suzanne Rankin and husband Charlie; six grandchildren, Amy Williams and husband Greg, Kacie Wood and husband Brendan, Jerod Rankin and wife Sherri, Rebecca Ash, Brianna McArthur and husband Daniel, and Elizabeth Fletcher and husband Mason; seven great-grandchildren, Daniel Trawick, Jacob Trawick, Hunter Wood, Kiley Williams, Elena Williams, Emma McArthur and Quinn Fletcher; sister, Betty Vinson and husband George.

Memorials may be made to the Mesa View Senior Living Sunset House, 106 Teas Circle, Canadian, TX 79014.
